Question to Dubai

A little off the topic of racism but do the students in dubai consider a Gran Torino a desirable car? In the movie Tao obviously did, and eventually was given the car through Walt's will. Just wondering if the tastes for old cars like the Gran Torino carries through from America to Dubai.

    I don't know if everyone likes old cars, but I would die for a Mustang Shelby so....

    Ok, here is the short list of the most popular and posh cars in U.A.E..
    1) Range Rover vogue, sport hst and so on=)
    2) Audi R8
    3) Corvette..
    4) Lamborgini galardo, Murcielago and finally
    Bentley.. so people here, are not so interested in retro cars..i don't know..tastes differ..For me, i would really love to have a camaro..new one=)

    The Gran Torino was pure beauty =)

    so much nicer than the new cars. Rather posh.

    My favorite would be the 1968 mercury comet.

    Well if i were to answer your question I would say, no not really, in my point of view. As Chingaz mentioned, people here in Dubai, especially the teenagers, are more attracted to popular cars...the new trend. Although Gran Torino is an amazing car, people in Dubai would rather have "new" than "old".
