Hey everyone :)

Hello my name is Yazan and I am 17 years old. I am Palestinian but I have a Jordanian passport. I study in the American university of Dubai, and I am majoring in civil engineering. I’m a bit worried because of all the notice ive been getting of how tough and challenging engineering is, but I hope that it would not effect me. My favorite sport is football, though not the American type of football, (you probably call it soccer). I love everything about it, I love watching it, and I love participating in it, whether I’m on a team or just a manager. I love playing games that have something to do with football. The team I support is Arsenal, and I will always support them. I’ve been living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates my whole life, which made me consider this country to be my home. I have visited Palestine only a couple of times due to the current situation. But every time I go there, I feel extremely culture shocked because of how comfortable I am over here. Dubai is a wonderful country, it is rich, and although it is small on the map, the buildings and the amazing wonders make it seem like it is a huge country. I fully understand why people confuse Dubai as a country rather than a city, because Dubai is the main place where people would want to stay in the UAE. Dubai is completely different than the other emirates over here; it is much richer, much more technologically advanced, and the jobs that are offered here are much more efficient and much more affluent. Dubai does have some negatives, like the weather that is upon us, especially during the summer, or the pollution of the air, and the fakeness of the plants and trees that are being planted. Dubai is a wonderful country and I wouldn’t mind living here for the rest of my life.
