Introduction

Hello all! My name is Blake Steuwe. I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan where I have lived my whole life. I am one of a family of six, having two older sisters and a younger brother. I currently attend Kettering University where I am studying for my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Management.

I work for Stryker Instruments located in Kalamazoo, Michigan (www.stryker.com) for six months out of the year. We sell and manufacture the equipment docters use and wear in the operating room during knee and hip replacement surgeries. I love it there, and it is great seeing the impact our products have every day.

I have traveled to South and Central America and had the opportunity to experience their different cultures, but overall, my cultural experiences are fairly limited. In addition to traveling, one of my best friends in high school was a foreign exchange student from Serbia. We talked about the differences in our cultures and I was able to learn a lot from him.
